COMPANIONS in Christ starts again in September

An evening group is forming to explore the latest offering from COMPANIONS in Christ. This study is nine weeks, beginning September 27 and ending the week of November 22. DiAnn Perko will lead the evening group. Pastor Allen will lead a daytime group.

A preliminary organizational meeting will be Monday evening, September 20 at the church. Weekly meeting date and time will be decided by consensus on Sept. 20.

Everyone is welcomed. Participation in a previous COMPANIONS study is not a prerequisite.

The Way of Grace, the fourth release in the COMPANIONS series, provides a fresh approach to the Gospel of John. It invites us to travel with eight biblical characters (or groups of characters) who discover God’s grace through their encounters with Jesus. The eight characters include: Andrew, Simon, Philip, and Nathaniel; Nicodemus; the Samaritan woman; the lame man; the woman caught in adultery; the blind man; Mary and Martha; and Simon Peter.

COMPANIONS in Christ is a small-group experience that builds spiritual practices within congregations, helping participants open more fully to God and to one another. This 9-week spiritual journey will draw you into daily time with God through individual reading and reflection, and will gather you weekly with others in your faith community for deeper exploration.
