Why
I joined Fremont First United Methodist Church.
-
| It
was Christmas, I wanted to give thanks and pay my respects to
my Creator and also to sing those beautiful carols. First United
Methodist Church lay closest to my home and the grounds with their
impressive palm trees and large grassed areas looked inviting.

Largely
I believe it was the warmth of the people in attendance and
the pastor that gave me the desire to return. A few weeks later
at one of the two regular Sunday morning services I was struck
again by a comfortable feeling. The sincere basic Christian
service was so satisfying. Christ's presence hung strongly all
around us.

I
visited more and more often and particularly enjoyed the monthly
communion services and all the opportunities offered by the church.
The frequent adult classes have enriched my spiritual journey.
|
| The
youth group, child care, and Sunday school are greatly appreciated
by the families. The church opportunities include exercise classes,
retreats, women, and men's activity groups, outreach to seniors
and the homeless, camp outs, social gatherings--something for
every body! |

The absence
of dogma and pressure for membership inclined me all the more
to become a member of this undemanding Church. Belonging feels
so good. Life is even better now. F.F.U.M. Church espouses 'Open
hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors! Anyone will feel at home in this
family.
