There are many ways to serve the church—evangelism, the ministry, education of youth or adults, hospitality, being a part of the worship service, helping to maintain the church.

Following is a list of our formal committees. If you are interested in helping, please contact the church office. If you would like to help in a way that is not shown here, please let us know.

Education

Sunday School is held at the same time as the 10 am church service. Our Christian Education Director is always looking for assistants to help out.

Outreach

Sunbridge Nursing Home: A monthly Sunday afternoon service for residents. Also help running their bingo games.
Tri-City Ministries: Donate or transport food.

Spiritual Development

Men's Group: Meet 1st Saturday of the month in Cole Hall for breakfast and fellowship.
United Methodist Women: See their page for extensive activities.
Women's Retreat: Planned weekend retreat for women each spring.
Family Camping: Local church: one weekend, usually in August.
Conference-wide: See conference web site.
Passover Dinner: Celebrate the Passover dinner in Cole Hall on Maundy Thursday, the Thursday before Easter.
Adult Study: Various short-term studies throughout the year, as well as adult Sunday school.
Body & Soul: Exercise and prayer to Christian music.

Worship

Worship Leaders: Members of the congregation who help the pastor lead the service
Worship Planning: Committee that plans/prepares worship services with the pastor.
Worship Visuals and Communion: Person(s) responsible for preparing communion sacraments and keeping the altar and sanctuary prepared for each liturgical season and each service with direction from the pastor.
Instrumentalists, Musicians, Vocalists: Vocal choir, bell choir, special music throughout the year
Hospitality: Setting up and cleaning after the post-service refreshment.

Youth Group and Support

Church Grounds Coordination

Garden Club: A good place to get dirty and make the church grounds beautiful. Contact Robert Walker.

Communications

Focus: A monthly church newsletter, not currently published.
Web Site: Contributors and web folks needed.

Office Help

Assist in the office with various duties, including regular publication of newsletter, bulletins, etc.

Library

Assist in monitoring books in church library, including shelving and check-outs/returns.
